John Lithgow’s Emmy blunder
Don't you just love an acceptance speech mistake?

“I’m glad to have every chance to thank Matt Blank and Bob Greenblatt at HBO,” John Lithgow said on stage at his acceptance speech at the Creative Emmys.
Just one problem, they both run Showtime, the company that produced Dexter, not HBO.
Bow bow.
When told of his mistake by reporters in the press room backstage, he drew a blank.
“Did I really?” he asked.
“I’ll never live that down. They’ll probably be taking this back now.”
You can see a dodgy clip of that response here.
Great win though Mr. Lithgow. You scared the pants off us all in Dexter.
The main event for the Emmys is next Monday live on FOX8 and later on TEN.
Just enough time for everyone to check who they really work for.

Just curious, any word on if/when Channel Ten will air this series? I seem to recall it was already on by this time last year, certainly in September it was anyway …
None! Very slow!
Everyone makes mistakes. Lithgow was excellent during his time on Dexter.
Am gonna miss John in Dexter this year.. Or will I? I’ve totally forgotten the end of last series…
He twittered about the error too. He’s quite embarrassed.
