New producer for The Morning Show

Sarah Stinson, currently Chief of Staff of Today Tonight, becomes the new Executive Producer of The Morning Show.

Seven has appointed its new Executive Producer for The Morning Show. She is Sarah Stinson, currently Chief of Staff of Today Tonight.

Stinson succeeds Michael Pell at the end of November, when he replaces Adam Boland as Executive Producer of Sunrise.

“Working with Larry and Kylie, alongside a brilliant creative team, on a programme I love is a dream come true,” she said. “The Morning Show has been a spectacular success and is the market leader in its slot. I’m keen to make my contribution to a winning formula.”

Seven’s Director of News and Public Affairs, Peter Meakin, added, “She has done a wonderful job on Today Tonight and has proved herself a team player. This is an appropriate reward for her expertise and hard work.”

Stinson started her television career as a production assistant at Nine in 1998 and joined Today Tonight as a producer in 2005.

  1. Congratulations on your appointment. May I strongly suggest that the information bar titling the segment which is kept across the screen for the whole of the run, be flashed – if it is needed at all – and removed. It reduces the visual by more than 10 per cent and in certain cases obscures important aspects. This morning’s piece on Kirsty Allen dancing was a case in point. The strip totally obscured her feet while she was performing. It irritates me (and I am sure thousands of other viewers) to such an extent that I switch to Kerry Anne, who is not my first choice. TV after all is a visual media.
