Bumped: New Tricks, Kidnap And Ransom, NTAFL: Indigenous All Stars

ABC's live Indigenous All Stars match has had to move due to flooding which results in changes to other programming.

Due to flooding the NTAFL: Indigenous All Stars game, originally scheduled for live (AEDT) telecast on Saturday 5th February, has had to change venue.

It will now air at 8:30pm Friday February 4th which sees the season premiere of New Tricks and Kidnap And Ransom both moved back a week starting on Friday 11th February.

Friday February 4
8:30pm – NTAFL: Indigenous All Stars Live AEDT

Saturday February 5
8:30pm – Midsomer Murders (Series 5, Episode 1) Repeat
10:10pm – The Graham Norton Show (Series 8, Episode 13) Repeat
11:00pm – Desperate Romantics (Series 1, Episode 3) Repeat

Friday February 11
8:30pm – New Tricks (Series 7, Episode 1)
9:30pm – Kidnap And Ransom (Series 1, Episode 1)

  2. The AFL advised today that the match had been moved forward two hours in an attempt to avoid strong winds and heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Yasi. The match will go ahead at 5.30pm ACST (7pm AEDT), meaning the ABC telecast will now be delayed nationwide.

  3. I feel sorry for pretentious people that have been sucked in to not liking or thinking they’re too good to enjoy sport. I suppose they don’t like sex either, considering that’s all about physical enjoyment as well. Enjoying the physical skill and action of football is just as enjoyable and valid as well written book, an engrossing movie or the buzz from gaining some new insight into life. Just because some drunk hick moron likes footy doesn’t make it unworthy of interest.

  4. @Jen13: Look, the world isn’t built around you, you don’t want to watch it, don’t, there’s a remote control, use it and watch something else. I know for a fact the Tudors on ABC2 is excellent viewing, as is Law & Order which airs at the same time on Gem.

    Just because you don’t like something doesn’t give you the right to insult it. Sport happens during the day and during Prime Time and there are lots of people who happen to enjoy it. After this I hope they repeat the match next week just to annoy you.

  5. I’m not a bitter person mate, I just can’t stand sport.
    Total waste of time.
    Put sport on during the afternoon, when all the nongs can watch it, leaving evenings for family viewing.

  6. Plain common sense to change it, and thank heavens. I was looking forward to seeing the class of the indig players, whoohoo. Tks ABC, many of us are very happy with this decision.

  7. One bitter person, what’s wrong with the ABC showing this. Do you see any of the commercial channels show Indigenous AFL? What’s wrong with seeing some young talent that could make it to the big leagues? You have to wait one week, one quick week?

  8. Does the ABC really expect us to watch football on a Friday night?
    I don’t care if it’s indigenoius or not, there’s no way I’ll be watching.
    I was looking forward to some new New Tricks, and also Kidnap And Ransom.
    Too bad.
    Anyone care to guess how the ratings will go?
    Smallest number of viewers of the week?
