TV1 HD would be pointless, as only a couple of shows would be available in HD.

Also, when TNA had a better timeslot, it was beating WWE hands down in ratings. In Australia & UK, TNA is much more popular.

What are u talking about, WWE is way betta than Crappy TNA!!!!! no offense but i prefer Make it or Break it, an:d Ghost Hunters, so Fox 8 keep TNA at 11:30 well actually i also like World Poker Tour more than TNA, so it will even be betta if u put TNA at 12:30 thanks!!!!

I agree with Michael, Fox8 needs to give TNA Impact a decent timeslot. From memory, since it’s foxtel debut 2 years ago, it’s had 9:30, 10:30, 10 and now 11:30 saturday nights. Just compare the ratings of WWE Raw, which gets a much better slot, stack more advertising and repeat showings, yet only pulled 5,000 more viewers than Impact. Wake up Foxtel!

Also, good to see Chuck in there, I love that show.

    That info isn’t available sorry.

David, would you be able to provide the 5 city breakdowns for the Suns/Swans/Giants AFL NAB Tripleheader?

I suspect the majority of viewers would be from Melbourne , but would be very interested to see the Sydney and Brisbane audience figures for the new teams.

It will be interesting to see how Prisoner rates at 6.30pm. Surely it will outrate many of these second rate shows.

A good day becomes a great day when there is a new episode of Selling Houses and/or Grand Designs to watch. I also pray each week my NRL team’s game is live on Fox Sports and not on Ch9 !

  8. Selma February 22, 2011 at 7:34 am -

Besides sport, Foxtel does very poorly in the ratings.

  9. Travis February 21, 2011 at 9:22 pm -

I love sport and Selling Houses Australia :)

  10. mobo February 21, 2011 at 6:24 pm -

That’s a lot of sport…interesting to not see anything from Showcase or W there being a bunch of UK shows.

  11. Michael February 21, 2011 at 6:21 pm -

It’s about time FOX8 gave TNA Impact a decent timeslot.

It once again made the Top 100 (73rd) despite being shown in the horrible timeslot of 11.30pm Saturdays.

  12. Luke Osman February 21, 2011 at 5:57 pm -

Geez, no wonder there are so many sports channels… Thrilled that Selling Houses is #1 non-sports program!

Anyone else think that sports and news programs should be excluded from ratings reports sometimes?

  13. Russell February 21, 2011 at 1:33 pm -

    @Josh

Foxtel only owns and controls a handful of the channels. So the choice to go HD or not is in the hands of each individual channel. Not Foxtel.

  14. Chris February 21, 2011 at 1:19 pm -

Wouldn’t most shows on TV1 not be available in HD? I know they show more recent Law and Order and House and stuff as well, but it’s mostly 80’s and 90’s stuff isn’t it? Getting the proper American Discovery HD is more important than any other channel going HD, the current one is out of Asia I think and is terrible.

  15. tomothy February 21, 2011 at 1:18 pm -

Wow, Foxtel subscribers seem to love sport, except me!
Good to see Selling Houses Australia Extreme as the top non sport show.

David: Haha. Well, there you go. And here I was thinking I’d scoured every inch of this website looking for content. Thanks for making things easier for us!

  17. David Knox February 21, 2011 at 12:09 pm -

PD: I have actually posted them for years, but now making them easier to find.

  18. Josh February 21, 2011 at 12:01 pm -

Well if Foxtel are deciding on what channel to launch in HD next by the ratings they get, Disney and Nickelodeon will be on the top of the list. Such a shame seems though there are many entertainment channels that need it more. TV1 was the most popular entertainment channel in week 3 of the ratings and yet they make LifeStyle HD before it – cant tell me it didnt have anything to do with the fact that Foxtel and Austar own it.

  19. PD February 21, 2011 at 11:57 am -

I must have missed your Pay TV ratings post last week David, but this is a great addition to TVTonight. Hooray for more numbers for me to get distracted with whilst I should be working!

  20. Kuttsywood February 21, 2011 at 11:43 am -

That is stunning: top 3 shows, is a NAB Cup game featuring three teams from a non-traditional AFL area, played in the middle of rugby league’s heartland.

I’d say, the AFL is happy with the result.
