Seven stars lunched, or possibly brunched, in the Boardroom of Seven’s Docklands headquarters yesterday after a big night at the Logie Awards.

In attendance were Michael Caton, Cornelia Frances, Zoe Ventoura, Rob Palmer, Daniel MacPherson and new Dancing with the Stars judge Josh Horner (pictured). They were joined by execs, producers and media.

Sunglasses may have been the order of the day, but nobody seemed to be nursing a sore head.

General Manager Lewis Martin congratulated many of the creatives for the network’s wins which included Packed to the Rafters, Better Homes and Gardens and Seven News. He also pointed towards the success of the Royal Wedding coverage and the endorsement of Free to Air audiences.

“We’re going really well at the moment. I thought Friday night was a periscope in the short term into the very near future of television with 7TWO outrating Channel TEN, but let’s not get into that…

“If you really want to have a look at what’s happening in our business in what we’re offering, we had a real sign on Friday night.”

Shortly afterwards an unexpected interruption held the room spellbound as a big screen TV brought home the news that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. Logies? What Logies?

  1. remember your struggle street days Seven when you were consistently 3rd in the ratings race back in the early 00’s, fortunes change and karma bites.

  2. God I hate the Seven arrogance “Friday night was a periscope in the short term into the very near future of television with 7TWO outrating Channel TEN, but let’s not get into that…” it seems the arrogance comes all the way from David Leckie right down to all levels of management – I hope they fall on their face again soon.

  3. Ouch! I wonder if TEN will ever live that down?

Well … Yes as soon as they get James into the CEO role. Also if they do get to snatch Adam Boland from Seven as well
