Mob Wives for LifeStyle YOU

This Reality series Reality follows four women whose husbands or fathers are doing time for Mob-related activities.

LifeStyle YOU will screen Mob Wives in August, a 10-part Reality series that follows the lives of four women from Staten Island, NY, whose husbands or fathers are doing time for Mob-related activities.

“Mob Wives is a startling and deeply engaging series,” said Hannah Barnes, Director of Programming and Acquisitions, LifeStyle Channels. “It has been a huge hit in the States, premiering in April on VH1 and averaging 1.3 million viewers in each of its first five episodes. We’re thrilled to have closed our first deal with Electus by acquiring this fantastic series for LifeStyle YOU.”

Cameras roll as these four women struggle to maintain their identities, their own families and their futures. Created by Jennifer Graziano of JustJenn Productions, Mob Wives gives viewers an unfiltered look at “alleged” mob families. These four long-time friends battle their families and each other as they try to do what’s best for themselves and their children, trying to maintain the lavish lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to. From The Godfather to The Sopranos to My Cousin Vinny, these women are breaking the stereotypes and showing what real Mob Wives look like.

“We are thrilled that not only America, but the global marketplace as a whole has really embraced Mob Wives. While the situation of the women featured in the series is unique, their compelling, real-life stories have a universal appeal that is clearly resonating in markets around the world,” said Chris Philip, President of Electus/Engine Distribution. “We are proud to bring this to Australia and XYZnetworks is the perfect home.”

Mob Wives is produced by TWC, Electus (Emmy Award winning Ben Silverman of The Office, The Tutors, Ugly Betty), JustJenn Productions (Jennifer Graziano) and Left/Right (Banks Tarver, Ken Druckerman and Nina Diaz), with Electus/Engine Distribution owning distribution rights across all platforms including television, motion picture, and digital. Executive producers for VH1 include Shelly Tatro, Kari McFarland, Rick Hankey and Jeff Olde.
