GLAAD Media Awards 2012: nominees

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (US) has announced nominees for its 23rd Media Awards.

Amongst the TV nominees are Shameless, The Big C, Glee, Modern Family, NCIS, Becoming Chaz, the AIDS documentary We Were Here, the same-sex wedding on Conan, David Letterman‘s interview with Chaz Bono and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360. Dancing with the Stars with Carson Kressley and Chaz Bono is bound to be a favourite.

The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held in New York, Los Angeles and in San Francisco between March and June.

    Many awards shows have specific focus. 23 years and widely recognised in the US media, even once scheduled to air in Australia. TV blog. TV awards.

    Award shows? You could have the most entertaining show in the history of tv. And if it doesn’t push gladds agenda. They will get nothing. On the other hand. Make a pathetic boring show. Put in a positive note about gays and you will win everything in sight. Please this is not an awards show.

    Happy Endings should win for best comedy, they are the only ones who feature a gay man that isn’t just a stereotype…I’m looking at you modern Family and Glee.
