TV’s date with a triple blockbuster
The Logies, Dancing with the Stars and MasterChef could all be happening on the same day.

Mark down Sunday April 15 in your diaries.
It’s the first day back after Easter non-ratings.
It’s Logie day.
It’s tipped to be the premiere date for Dancing with the Stars and MasterChef.
It’s also the date that the Titanic sank 100 years ago (hopefully not an ominous sign for any shows in particular).
So could Logies, Dancing and MasterChef all go head to head? Yes. It wouldn’t be the first time that Logies and MasterChef have launched simultaneously.
If anyone starts at 6:30pm (we’re looking at youse celeb-dancers), they will possibly finish with a higher average and the better headline the next day. Logies ends so late that it brings the audience average down.
The question for TEN is whether it could launch MasterChef the day after -but wait, there’s more.
On Monday March 16 Nine is likely to see The Block and/or Celebrity Apprentice return while Seven is expected to commence its Titanic miniseries.
Either way there will be lots to talk about!

@michaeltv: BH&G cannot play Thursday March 29, as there is an AFL game that night. YTT will run past Easter. PMMB def Wed March 28. MKR Mon or Tue Mar 26/27 – as, if there is an elimiation everynight this week, there are only 3 teams left at the end of it.
Biggest Loser may finish Monday April 23, with MChef premiere Sunday April 22.

I think mc starts in May. There are 8 contestants left in the biggest loser house so 1 month till the final 4 and a week or 2 with the finale
I like Mr J’s theory no KAK, Dan Mac, Mel B, Zoe Crammond at the logies….Zoe could be up for a gong as well as DTWS (so if judges and Dan M wasn’t there) who would accept, Sonja Kruger LOL

Maybe Nine will also launch The Block at 6:30 on Sunday to lead into the Logies and get a (potential) head-start over MasterChef? Sunday shows performed well last year after all.
I doubt it’s true. That’s less than a month away and a lot of those shows haven’t even started promotion, and the ones that have are only just starting. I think DWTS will start a week later and TBL will still be going on ten – with MC a long way off.
Would 7 be that competitive to rob the logies of KAK?
So David, do you mean that my family can go back to normal as BL and MKR will have finished by the time MC starts?
At present, my wife and two kids sit transfixed from 7.00 until 9.00 each night and I sit on my lonesome because I cannot commit to this mindless pap.

I know what I’ll be watching out of all of those, and thats the Titanic mini-series. The rest is not my thing. I may PVR the logies and fast forward through the majority of it a few weeks after it has aired.
Only thing I’m interested in is the Titanic mini-series, the rest is all just one big yawnfest.
This is when the networks really need to repeat shows the next day or so on one of the digital channels. Its just too much at once for me.
