Former travel reporter and morning show host, David Reyne this week returned to acting after 20 years, filming a guest role on Neighbours.
Reyne, who previously appeared in The Flying Doctors and Sweet and Sour, has more recently been narrating episodes of Celebrity Apprentice (you just knew you recognised that voice!).
On the ELEVEN soap he plays a shrewd businessman who makes a deal too good to be true with Ramsay Street hot shot, Andrew Robinson (Jordan Smith).
“I’ve always enjoyed acting and would love to do more of it. Neighbours is a nice foray back into it,” said Reyne.
As well as pursing acting, Reyne is preparing for his DJ role on new SmoothFM which takes to the airwaves in two weeks. He will host their 8pm evening show.
“It’s something a little different and unexpected, I’m really looking forward to it.”

My bad. It was indeed James that is the father of Jamie, not David.
How could anybody not recognise David’s appalling voice over technique?
(And yes, James is Jamie Robbie’s dad, not David)
@ J Bar, sorry but you are wrong, Jaime Reyne who played Taj is definately the son of James Reyne, not David.
Jaime Robbie Reyne is the son of David Reyne and he played regular Taj Coppin.
@snoopy888, I think that was his brother James 🙂
how ironic. Was this the father of the guy who played Taj all those years ago or was that his brother?
Sweet and Sour. Now that was a lifetime ago.
