Still cannot see why SBS can’t broadcast the BBC1 feed live in the morning in addition to the usual Sunday evening coverage?
The official SBS line (via twitter) is that no one will hold their Eurovision parties at 5am. The reality is that many people would watch the live broadcast (instead of Weather test patterns) if it was available!
Whilst there’s no point biting the hand that feeds you (David Knox), perhaps SBS should be reminded that it is 2012 and that people want to see events as they are broadcast. Imagine telling soccer fans that they couldn’t watch a game for 14 hours!
This year’s internet coverage on eurovision.tv and bbc.co.uk was brilliant – no issues with streaming or lag as in past years. Well done to Azerbaijan on a wonderful event!
