Kerri-Anne Kennerley has begun her fight back from breast cancer, now facing 6 weeks of radiation therapy.
The TV survivor underwent surgery last Wednesday around lunchtime, telling the Daily Telegraph: “You lie there looking up at that nuclear symbol above your head – the one you see in movies to show it’s toxic – and you think, this can’t be good.
“I’m the same as every woman. This is not what you want for your body. I didn’t want chemo and I didn’t want to lose my breasts.”
Later, she will also campaign to the government for breast care rebates.
Best wishes during this difficult, time KAK!
Corrected.

Radiation therapy is no walk in the path either. It’s a bit like being sunburnt from the inside out, and even eating hurts.
Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are two different things. She very luckily escaped the brutal chemo where she would have been violently ill and lost her hair. Radiation therapy will just make her really tired.
Ahhh chemotherapy is not radiotherapy – two completely different forms of torture… the latter being the less invasive.
