Ab Fab: Olympics
If anyone is going to gatecrash the Olympics, it's Eddy & Patsy.

We don’t really need a reason to return Eddy and Patsy with a new episode, but if the Olympics is an excuse, I’ll happily take it.
This is the third and final episode of the revived comedy by Jennifer Saunders, and it includes all the girls whose names start with “J”: Joanna, Julia, June and Jane. As we saw earlier this year, none of them have lost their spark.
This time round, Eddy is desperately trying to see fashion designer Stella McCartney, but can’t get near her. Meanwhile she has agreed to rent out her townhouse to Michael Douglas during the Olympics -but that’s about as far as it goes by way of organisation.
There are some very funny lines when Afrikaan dressed-Saffy tells her messy mother that the Games are actually here. Bubble adds that Douglas is on his way from the airport. Throw in Mother and there are plenty of laughs here. Some of the best involve Patsy and a teensy bodysuit.
This episode also sees the return of Bo and Marshall Turtle (Mo Gaffney and Christopher Ryan), in town for the Games, but with an affliction in tow.
Before the episode has ended the IOC may just be checking their security for gatecrashers all over again…
At just half an hour, this leaves you wanting more, but Saunders has got an Ab Fab film on the cards and if this episode is anything to go by, it can’t come soon enough.
Absolutely Fabulous “Olympics” airs 8:pm Thursday July 26 on ABC1.
