The BBC gets all animated over the Olympics in this newly-released promo.

“Wherever you are, never miss a moment with the BBC,” it says.

    Keep in mind they had a cartoon monkey as part of their video for Beijing. It’s not that terrible. The BBC aren’t ones for making sporting promos with actuality – computer animated graphics are usually the norm. If you go searching on Youtube, you’ll find the two and a half minute version (which feels more complete). The music’s very good

    I definitely prefer Foxtel’s version which seemlessly transforms one athlete into another.

    Great campaign for EA sports, terrible for the olympics. And from the BBC!!! Looks like it was commissioned by a Executive Producer who knew lots about technology and nothing about what makes sports fans tick. A very generous F from me.
