Chris Hemsworth becomes Foxtel ambassador

Hollywood hunk Chris Hemsworth will spearhead a range of new advertising and marketing campaigns for Foxtel.

Former Home and Away actor turned Hollywood hunk Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers, Snow White and the Huntsman) has signed a 2 year deal to become a brand ambassador for Foxtel.

The move follows previous deals with the Pay TV provider and Hugh Jackman, amongst others.

Hemsworth will spearhead a range of new advertising and marketing campaigns for Foxtel.

Richard Freudenstein, Foxtel CEO, said: “It’s fantastic that Chris Hemsworth has agreed to become the face of Foxtel. Not only is he one of the hottest stars in the world, he is a great Australian talent and the perfect person to bring our content to life. People may think they know Foxtel, but it’s time to look again.

“Foxtel delivers the best television entertainment available in Australia and now as a national company we have brilliant exclusive international and local series, an unrivalled sports lineup, blockbuster movies, and new ways to watch Foxtel.”

Hemsworth added: “This is a great opportunity to come back home and be a part of something that represents my passion for great storytelling, high quality television shows and movies. And with Foxtel there’s no better place to access that.”

He began filming a series of new commercials in Sydney this week which will premiere across Australia in August.
