Renewed: Rake

Richard Roxburgh's legal drama has been renewed by the ABC.

Rake has been renewed for a third season.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports the legal drama has been renewed by the ABC, which is great to hear.

Star and co-producer Richard Roxburgh recently told TV Tonight he envisioned the show for a 3-series run.

“It’s not written in stone, but our vision is that we should only do three and then that story will be done. It’s certainly what we feel,” he said.

“You certainly don’t want to be flogging a dead thing.”

However SMH now reports Roxburgh won’t rule out a further series, saying he and the rest of the creative team were open to wherever Rake took them.

  1. Another wonderfully written and of course acted ABC1 series. I have officially fallen for Cleaver and have put him in the file with Hank Moody (californication) as the impossible man with such appeal but you can never have. This is great for Aussie content, well done.

  2. Good news, an entertaining show. Now please try and create a storyline where Cleaver Green and Martha Costello (of Silk) somehow have to work on a case together for a few episodes
