Airdate: The Next Gig: The Presets

In December Channel [V] screens The Next Gig featuring electro-pop duo The Presets, filmed in Brisbane last night.

Six hundred fans had their socks blown off with the multi ARIA Award-winning duo delivering a superb set to The Tivoli in Brisbane. The Presets are renowned for their high octane, dance-fuelled live shows, and they did not disappoint as they tore through track after track.

Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes kicked off the show with the hypnotising beats of ‘Push’ from their new, critically-acclaimed album Pacifica and immediately had the audience hooked. Fans were treated to a mass of songs from the new release including ‘Fall’, Fast Seconds’, ‘Ghosts’, and ‘Youth In Trouble’. The current single, ‘Promises’ had the crowd singing its infectious hook.

The Presets also brought some gems from their first two albums to the killer set including ‘If I Know You’, ‘This Boy’s In Love’, ‘I Go Hard I Go Home’, ‘My People’ and “Are You The One’. Wizards of dance anthems, they closed the electric show with the sublime, dance-inducing hit, ‘Talk Like That’.

Pepsi Next and Channel [V] have teamed up for The Next Gig to deliver a series of money-can’t-buy experiences for Australian music fans with some of the hottest artists performing. More performances to be announced.
