Kirstie Alley has a new comedy series coming to US television via TV Land, the same channel that produces Hot in Cleveland.
Joining her in the simply-titled Kirstie’s New Show are Rhea Perlman (Cheers) and Michael Richards (Seinfeld).
Allie will play Madison Banks, a Broadway star who finds her life turned upside down when her son (Eric Petersen) turns up looking to reconnect with his biological mother.
Richards (Seinfeld) will play Maddie’s limo driver, while Perlman plays her assistant/best friend.
“We’ve been after Kirstie for two years, and now we found the perfect show for her and the perfect writer in Marco Pennette,” said Keith Cox from TV Land.
“We are so excited to give a home to Kirstie and this amazing cast with a show that TV Land fans will love.”

TVLand Shows don’t have to rate as well as other networks so fingers crossed.
Was George Wendt too busy to play a limo driver?
I’ve been reading about this on twitter, and hoped it was a show we would get. I’ve always liked Kirstie Alley and loved all the shows she’s been in. Still waiting for us to get Happily Divorced with Fran Drescher, it’s been on in the US for a while now and sounds like a funny show. Same with The Client List with Jennifer Love Hewitt.
What a truly uninspired title.
peediction will go ok
prediction… Massive Flop.
