2013-08-21_0050Good to see 30 Rock is finally coming back to Seven next month for its final season -even if the 11:30pm slot is super late.

Earlier this week Tina Fey secured her next comedy about a women’s college that decides to admit men for the first time, on the FOX network.

Meanwhile NBC bought a Fey and Carlock-produced pilot about a young woman living on Fire Island in New York, but writen by Colleen McGuinness (30 Rock).

Season 7 Episode 1: The Beginning of the End
When “TGS” returns from hiatus, Liz (Fey) is alarmed by Jack’s shockingly bad fall programming line-up. Meanwhile, Jenna (Krakowski) prepares to be the ultimate bridezilla, enlisting a reluctant Liz to be her maid of honor, and Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) and Hazel (Kristen Schaal) invite Tracy (Tracy Morgan) to a dinner party.

11:30pm 9th September on Seven.

  1. ..or they could play them late night on 7mate instead it the current running repeats of it..but I assume they haven’t even bothered buying it in HD unlike earlier seasons.

  2. Yay.

30 Rock finished 6 months ago in the US.

Hopefully the second half of S2 of Suits will be next. And what are they doing with Royal Pains?

After the Friends debarcle, rights deals are normally written so that networks retain the rights to existing shows, even if the output deal changes.

  3. I’m glad than channel 7 have finally found a gap in the late night schedule… in amongst all the other high quality programming that has been holding this up.

  4. The quicker they air this, the quicker the DVD comes out and I can finish my collection… so double episodes! Triple, even! Let’s get this show done!!!

  5. Oh great, finally ch 7 are airing the final season, finished ages ago in the US. Is there any word on when 9 will air the final season on Weeds David? They’ve been showing repeats for ages.
