When programmers make you compete against yourself…

I spied two coincidences in our upcoming schedules that pit performers against their own work on rival networks.

Not the first time it’s happened but rather ironic, nonetheless.

An Idiot Abroad returns tomorrow night with Karl Pilkington at 9:30pm on ONE. Meanwhile Pilkington also appears in Derek on ABC1 at 10pm. In one he is acting and in the other he is “acting.”

Meanwhile Tropfest TV begins on SBS 2 at 9:40pm Sunday September 8. And an episode of Bones airing at 9:00pm on the same night on Seven is directed by John Polson -creator of the Tropfest Film Festival.
