Before “Silence of the Lambs,” before “Red Dragon,” Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) was a brilliant psychiatrist in the employ of the FBI. His task: to help a gifted criminal profiler, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) who is haunted by his ability to see into the minds of serial killers. Season two picks up as Will Graham finds himself housed in the place he feared most, the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, after Dr. Hannibal Lecter successfully framed his “friend” for the murders he had committed as the copycat.

Thursdays from March 27 at 8.30pm on FOX8.

  2. Sounds like it is not on until May now! I thought Foxtel was better than FTA but obviously not.

    I think even 7 would have shown it by now (even if was very late at night).

  4. Ch 7 started to repeat the 1st series a few weeks ago late Sunday night but seems to have stopped at ep2-the transfer to pay TV would explain that strange occurrence…why help a competitor promote their product.

  5. Bummer. I loved he 1st season and was really looking forward to the 2nd. Like Paul007, I assumed the current repeats on Ch7 would lead to the S2 premiere .
    Guess i’ll have to wait for the DVD release 🙁

  6. It would be good to see more TV shows that the FTA networks treat with such disdain moved to Fox 8, FX or SoHo. That way we can get them in HD and in a timely manner in due course.

    Then the FTA networks can be filled with the reality trash, sensationalist news about bogan drug mules and ACA that the masses seem to enjoy.

  7. That sucks!!! It was one of my rare FTA highlights for 2013. I know Channel 7 are replaying Season 1 late Sunday evening, so I assumed once the S1 replay finished they would go onto S2. Not really sure if FOX 8 is the right channel for it. As it is quite dark and violent and has an MA/AV rating.

  8. Hannibal season 2 going straight to FOX8 seems to confirm what I have just suspected and that is the majority of the shows I watch are not on the primary free to air channels as they are on the subsidiary free to air channels, Foxtel or on DVD.

  9. This post makes no sense. Hannibal season 1 just finished this week on FOX 8.

    They also said season 2 will start in May. Is this post just for season 1 repeats?
