Gone: Hidden Kingdoms with Stephen Fry

TEN has pulled Stephen Fry's doco series from Mondays after just one airing.

2014-09-09_2125Stephen Fry may be essential to ABC’s schedule but TEN has pulled his doco series Hidden Kingdoms from Monday nights after just one airing.

Earlier this week it attracted a disappointing 342,000 viewers, fourth in its timeslot.

From next week it will be replaced with -yep, you guessed it- Modern Family repeats.

It’s not clear where Hidden Kingdoms will resurface.

Modern Family repeats are also slated to the 8:30 Sunday slot on September 21st.

  1. @strayamayte – we’re only part-way thru September. You might be happy for Ten to not bother trying for the last 30% of the year but I’m not sure that their shareholders will be. They already did that for the first 30% and look how that turned out. I don’t think 2015 is going to be any different.

MF repeat double is also on at 8:30 this Sunday 14th.

  2. Well that was a surprise. The documentaries should have been first run content on ONE, where those kind of numbers would have been very respectable. With so much new content slated for later this year, they should have really planned better for the post Masterchef slump.

  3. Look I’m not going to complain about Modern Family repeats like some others will, because it’s nearly the end of the year and I know TEN is working on new content for 2015. So I reckon we should just let em ride out the year on the Modern Family repeats, and look forward to what they will be putting on the table next year.
