Rose D’Or Awards 2014: winners

Please Like Me has missed out on a prestigious Rose D'Or Award in Berlin.

2014-09-20_0136Please Like Me has missed out on a prestigious Rose D’Or Award. The Josh Thomas comedy was the only Australian finalist at the 53rd Rose d’Or ceremony in Berlin.

But it is in good company with The Graham Norton Show also missing out while Married at First Sight, which is set to have an Australian adaptation next year on Nine, also missed out.

There were over 400 nominations received this year.

  1. So buying a show that’s been nominated for a Golden Rose is a terrible idea according to you? I guess you watched it in the original Danish to have such sparkling insight. Or are you just another whinger on here who can’t wait to piss on anyone’s parade before it’s even started. And you wonder why shows are yanked from air minutes after beginning here whereas in other countries shows with slower starts are given a chance to adapt and modify until an audience grows.

  2. Yay for Gogglebox, love that show and looking forward to season four starting very soon.
    I can’t believe Nine is adapting Married at First sight. Sounds like one TEN would get and be axed after two weeks. Buying that show is about as desperate as putting Tim back in the BB house.
