Nine’s WA-produced renovation show with The Block personalities on Sunday had some NRL fans upset after missing the Rabbitohs presentation, but Nine was happy with the results.
Matt and Kim To The Rescue averaged 167,000 viewers and will renew the special for 2015.
Nine Perth Managing Director, David Mott said, “The program’s success confirms our on-going strategy in creating local programs that resonate with West Australian audiences.
“My thanks to the entire Nine team, Matt and Kim for their tireless work and to our sponsors and partners who came on board to support this incredible initiative.”
The special aired from 6:45pm but some locals were unhappy the NRL presentation was cut short and not available on a multichannel.

Not an NRL fan but they should have at least showed it on GEM. AFL post match presentation was live across the country. As a Swans fan, I didn’t want to watch it, but was glad I had the choice to.
