Airdate: My Christmas

Darren Percival will host his first TV show, telling positive and feel-good stories at Christmas.

2014-12-21_13552012 The Voice singer Darren Percival will host his first TV show My Christmas on TEN as part of CelebrateLifeTV, an initiative telling positive and feel-good stories to inspire people.

Richard Attieh from Pineapple Media Australia said, “I was confident Darren would be a great presenter and a good fit for My Christmas.

“I have followed Darren’s career over the past few years and he is great to work with.”

My Christmas follows six Aussies as they go out of their way to help others to have a better Christmas, and includes Darren singing at a Salvation Army Christmas Party.

“We couldn’t resist the opportunity to have Darren singing in the program,” says Attieh. “Darren’s ability to win and entertain an audience is second to none.”

The program features the work of the Salvation Army, a charity based in Western Sydney who give away over $10 million dollars of food every year through their weekly Free Food Shop, and a Soup Kitchen in Brisbane who drive out to men’s and women’s shelters and bring the homeless to a free meal. My Christmas also features Paddy’s Markets who donate over $1000 of fruit, veggies, meat and toys to charity this Christmas.

“Darren is a perfect fit for the feel-good nature of this program,” continues Attieh. “We all know Aussies lead the world when it comes to lending a hand during a major crisis. This program is shows how Aussies also lend a hand in their everyday lives.”

11am on Christmas Day on TEN.

  1. Not to belittle any contestants but I’m just wondering whether anyone from the Voice (excluding the judges) have actually had any decent success. I’ve seen them on Morning Shows, Christmas specials, etc. but nothing else great of note. It’s just a bit surprising where talent show that gets over 2 million viewers an episode doesn’t have a decent launchpad. The X-Factor, Australia’s Got Talent seemed to have bought a lot more success but the Voice has just fallen flat.

  2. Not to be confused with the David Foster/Andrea Bocelli “My Christmas” TV special.
“Darren’s ability to win and entertain an audience is second to none.”- bit of over-hype?
