The Morning Show
regular Glenn Wheeler is in an induced come following an accident on a scooter yesterday.

Wheeler fronts the show’s advertorials and contributes to segments, and hosts an evening radio show on 2GB.

His family have released a statement:”Glenn has been involved in a very serious incident and the road to recovery is going to be a long one. The impact left him with a severed artery in one leg and other significant injuries to various parts of his body. There’s some bleeding on the brain but scans have come back with encouraging results.

“He’s in an induced coma and his condition is stable. We’re thankful to emergency services, members of the public who offered assistance and the wonderful staff at St George Hospital. We will update everyone when we have more news to share.”

Sarah Stinson, Executive Producer of The Morning Show added, “Glenn is a close and dear part of our team at The Morning Show on Seven.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn and his family.”

  1. A lot of people claim to be the hardest working people in media, but Glenn actually is. Apart from hosting 2CH breakfast monday to friday , he does 2GB on Saturday nights plus the Morning Show as well…plus lots of other stuff. I’m hoping and praying he recovers from this terrible accident, as he is also one of the nicest and most genuine guys you would ever meet. And in the media, that’s about as rare as rocking horse poo.

  2. Very lively happy person on TV and radio. Sounds like he’s going to pull through according to the news tonight which is great. The accident wasn’t in no way his fault which should be mentioned.
The amount of accidents I’ve heard of involving motorcycles and scooters really has turned me off using that mode of transport.

  3. Wishing Glenn a speedy recovery & all the best. Though I prefer Studio 10 to The Morning Show, he’s definitely the best advertorial presenter on TV.
