Today show hits the road for a week of outside broadcasts from Uluru to Launceston.

Next week the Today show will be heading around Australia to OB broadcasts from Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania as part of a sponsor deal with Tourism Australia (sorry WA, SA & ACT!)

Karl Stefanovic said: “Australia rocks. I plan to visit every pie shop and pub in five days. It’s going to be like Schoolies for oldies. Pump it up, people!”
The week will include Jessica Mauboy who will perform her new single, The Day Before I Met You, from her album Beautiful, live at Uluru.

Tuesday, March 10 – Bendigo, VIC
Wednesday, March 11 – Launceston, TAS
Thursday, March 12 – Sydney Harbour, NSW
Friday, March 13 – Burleigh Heads, QLD

Your right Catherine, Edwina has been doing this for a number of weeks now and been to some pretty fantastic locations but it sounds to me as if channel 7 have organized this themselves to show us some of the great places around, but as it appears channel nine are being paid by Tourism Australia, don’t know if they would do this if that wasn’t the case but that is my opinion, also enjoy Sunrise in Hawaii, and thinks its nice that Sunrise fans have a chance to join in the fun with them, and I do find this show enjoyable.
Don’t hear them say how great Australia is when they are hopping over to America and Canada every year. Lisa Wilkinson is so false. Off course she makes comments like that because Sunrise are in Hawaii. Coming to the Gold Coast again is ridiculous. They sit at the beach and all people see are waves!
sydney harbour as a location?? are they kidding? even Burleigh Heads… i mean there is nothing wrong with these locations… but lets see some more of Australia… they cross to Qld and Syd Harbour all the time… what about …Port Augusta… Mildura… Albury Wodonga…. Port Macquarie…. all good aussie places… i could go on…. but at least they are showing Australia….
And it just so happens that Sunrise are in Hawaii.

Sunrise is heading to Hawaii next week. Any coincidence? Have to say I prefer Today’s approach though, the choice of locations is creative and interesting. As for Hawaii, Sunrise have been there before I don’t see any point in going again.
