SBS doco wins US award

2014 doco The Secret Life of Breasts which aired on SBS a year ago picked up a prestigious award in the US last week.

It was awarded a Golden Eagle Award in the category Non Fiction Feature: Environment and Science.

The doco which put breast tissue and breast milk to the test, was produced by Sonya Pemberton.

It defeated other entries which aired on the Smithsonian, PBS and National Geographic Channels.

The awards honour professional excellence focused on storytelling, originality, and meeting the needs of the intended audience.
