After four seasons, the BBC is dropping out as a producer of ‘trans-Atlantic’ comedy Episodes starring Matt LeBlanc.

Season five will be produced by Showtime and Hat Trick Productions, but the BBC will still air new episodes.

Creators David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik will continue to write every episode. However there is no decision on whether production will relocate to the US. Until now the majority of production has been done in the UK, with a few weeks of filming in LA.

Season 4 begins in Australia on BBC First on Monday September 7th.

Season 5 is tipped to be the final season, but yet to be confirmed.
