A woman who was high on cannabis when her car collided with Glenn Wheeler has received a suspended sentence and her licence revoked for three years.
But she escaped jail time -an outcome that has angered Wheeler’s family.
Deborah Anne Levy, 60, pleaded guilty last year to driving under the influence of drugs and negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm after smashing into Wheeler in January 2015.
Wheeler’s son Dane said, “At the end of the day we’ve got a lady driving under the influence of drugs and she’s nearly killed somebody. She’s turned what used to be a bright, happy, successful man’s life upside down in one hit and it sucks.”
The Morning Show regular was left in a coma after the accident, with months of hospitalisation and rehabilitation.

What?!?!?…I am speechless…….
The Justice system is certainly a joke but I cannot laugh. Poor Glenn your life is worthless according to the Courts & the person who did this.
This is unreal, if this woman is homeless, how did she afford the drugs she was on, how did she afford to run a car, how did she afford to put petrol in etc. If this is called homeless why aren’t more people doing this. The justice system is a disgrace and should be overhauled.
That is a disgrace. Glenn is the one with the life sentence here with the injuries he has suffered. With the injures she caused she should have got some jail time.
Ditto. The female driver has been under the influence of drugs and reckless driving. She should have got jail time last year.
I agree Catherine, I’m so ashamed to be an Australian.
The law is gutless now if you do the wrong thing you will be rewarded, the victim…….. who’s that!!
And that is what they call Justice……it stinks….
