A Good Wife spinoff is in the works, as a legal drama to star Christine Baranski (Diane Lockhart) and Cush Jumbo (Lucca Quinn).
Good Wife creators Robert King and Michelle King are expected to write the pilot, but will then turn over the reins to other writers so they can focus on their own upcoming CBS thriller BrainDead.
The spinoff would air exclusively on subscription service CBS All Access, which will also launch the upcoming Star Trek spinoff.
Discussions for Baranski’s Good Wife spinoff are believed to have been in the works for some time, with Baranski recently turning down other offers, including one project described as being extremely high-profile.
An official announcement could come at next week’s CBS upfronts presentation.

Another reason The Good Wife ended how it did?
Christine Baranski was one of the best things about the Goodwife, so looking forward to it, brilliant actress.
I’m sure we will be able to watch it via other avenues
So we would never get to see it since it will be on cbs subscription?? ?
No it doesn’t mean that. Should be CBS Studios so TEN could pick it up (to be confirmed).
Oh good! Hope it happens.
