Australian visual effects work on Game of Thrones has scooped the pool in the 15th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards in LA.
Iloura work on the Battle of the Bastards episode won 5 of its 11 nominations yesterday, against entries including Black Mirror, The Expanse, Stranger Things and Westworld.
Iloura’s work was led by VFX Supervisor Glenn Melenhorst on the pivotal sequences that bring to a head the heated feud that had been brewing between hero Jon Snow and his army of Wildlings, and the Boltons, led by Snow’s nemesis Ramsay Bolton.
Last year it won a Creative Emmy Award.

Thoroughly deserved. One of the most breathtaking hours of television I have seen. Pun intended.
