Quizmaster in legal tussle with ex-TV host

Former Sale of the Century quizmaster Cary Young is suing former Wheel of Fortune host Rob Elliott over claims of unpaid royalties for a board game, Smart Ass.

Young wrote questions for the board game, licensed through Elliott’s company Red Media. He has asked the court to direct Elliott and Red Media to hand over all emails, letters, memos. Texts, file notes and financial records.

Last night A Current Affair covered the case, with quotes from former Sale host Tony Barber and eminent voice-overman Pete Smith. Neither Young nor Elliott appeared on camera.

Elliott was host of Wheel of Fortune from 1997 to 2003, replacing Tony Barber.
