Seven’s reality hit Beauty and the Geek Australia will return for a third series later this year and it is currently looking for new guys and girls (it’s notoriously hard to find the guys for this one).
The series pulled some surprising ratings last year, especially for its transformation episode. Who doesn’t love a good before / after?
Last year’s winners Michael Price and Jessie Byrne took home $100,000 along with some unlikely new heartfelt friendships.
Price says, “I learnt that looking good takes a lot of hard work and that good looks don’t always make life easy for people. Most importantly I learned that confidence and a willingness to go out of my comfort zone will help me achieve much more than I would otherwise ever be able to do.”
Byrne added, “I loved how there was never a dull day in the mansion. There was always something exciting going on! I’d do it all over again if I could.”
Applicants must be aged over 18.
Application form at: www.beautyandthegeek.com.au
It will premiere on Seven later this year.

does anyone know where i can find 2012 application?
No auditions announced yet.
I love this show this was one of many reasons why I always looked forward to Thursday Nights and getting home from work early.
Love this show good to see it coming back
I love this show, i always watch it and always wanted to be on it.
I like this show a lot but one thing. A 10+ month wait between seasons only to get only 6 episodes is too long a wait and not enough. Good to see signs that it might be returning earlier this year.
7 should try to make a spinoff show to launch off the back of it. There aren’t many MTV type reality shows on FTA. And BATG does well for 7.
Haven’t found the application form yet…
I think the interviews are a bit over-produced and some of the b-roll stuff is obviously staged but pitched as natural. Otherwise it’s a pretty well-executed show.
I love this show, so happy it’s back for another series. I hope the contenstants don’t over-act their roles, geeks acting really “geeky” or beauties acting dumber than they are… but most don’t which makes it great to watch.
